Everyone I've talked with while out building my business asks about my experience and why I stay in this industry? I love what I do! But not all pest control companies are the same, I've worked for other companies and got tired of the high volume mentality, bad service, customer complaints. Had my own business at one point, and I loved that I could take the time to do the job right and eliminated issues that my customers had. Most told me they haven't seen other companies do that.
Unfortunately I had to shut down to stay home with my youngest, who was special needs. I tried to find a full time technician to keep my company going, but that was a pain, so many applicants and no one had good work ethic. Always been a pet peeve with me, if you work in a service industry, you have to have a servant mentality and care about the service you provide. Most don't, which is disappointing.
When I went back to work, decided to try to find a good company to work for. That was hard! Best employer was Dr. Church, working with him out at Ft. Hood. I loved that job! My 1st and only military base experience. It was interesting.
After working for different companies and not impressed with most of them, all my colleagues kept asking why I haven't started my own again? You know, I'm ready. It's sad seeing this industry going corporate with people who don't really care and just see dollar signs.
